DENVER – Redshirt sophomore Eli Chuha grabbed the final Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week honor on Sunday the conference announced after posting a career-high 28 points and was just shy of recording his 14th double-double of the year with nine.
This is the fifth player of the week honor for NM State and the first for Chuha this season. The five weekly honors for the Aggies are also the most by any team in the league this season, beating out Grand Canyon (4).
Chuha single-handedly eclipsed his career-high of 20 points in just 16 minutes of action in the first half, going 7-of-10 from the floor and 7-for-8 at the line for 21 points.
