DENVER, COLO. – The Western Athletic Conference announced the golfers of the month for September on Tuesday. NM State women's golf saw Pun Chanachai earn WAC Women's Golfer of the Month after record-breaking play through two events to open the season.
Fresh off winning WAC Freshman and Player of the Year in 2016, Chanachai did not skip a beat at the beginning of the 2017 season. In the first event of the year, the Hobble Creek Fall Classic, the sophomore led the Aggies to a first place finish while she also took home individual medalist honors shooting a 69-66-69—204 (-9).
