DENVER – After helping guide the Aggies to a 5-2 record over the past week, Victoria Castro was selected as the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Hitter of the Week, announced the conference office Tuesday. Castro is the third Aggie to win this honor during the 2016 season.
"We are very proud of Victoria," said head coach Kathy Rodolph. "She has made the most of her opportunities. Her tenacity and grit are very fun to coach."
The Albuquerque, N.M. native amassed a .500 batting average through seven games and has a .486 batting average overall.
