LAS CRUCES, N.M. – On Friday morning, NM State Football picked up a pair of national honors from HERO Sports, led by a Third Team All-American selection for offensive lineman Canaan Yarro.
At center, Yarro has been named a Preseason Third Team Group of Five All-American by Hero Sports. In 2022, Yarro appeared in 12 games for the Aggies and anchored a greatly improved offensive line. Behind solid efforts from Yarro and the rest of the offensive line, the Aggies gained 2,099 yards on the ground, averaging 4.6 yards per carry – the highest in both categories since 2015.
