PHOENIX – NM State began the weekend with 18 holes at the Papago Golf Course on Thursday as they opened play at the PING/ASU Invitational. After one round, the Aggies find themselves in 17th place after shooting a combined 302 (+14).
The day was highlighted by an impressive individual effort from Emma Bunch who posted a first-round 69 (-3) to end the day tied for fifth on the individual leaderboard while sitting just one stroke off the lead entering the second round. In total, Bunch tallied three birdies, including two among the first five holes.
