LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State Baseball's Austin Botello and NM State softball's Makayla McAdams have been named Aggie Male of the Week and Aggie Female of the Week, respectively, announced Wednesday. The Aggie of the Week is presented by Subway.
Botello, a junior from Galveston, Texas, played a large role in the Aggies' sweep of Grand Canyon during the week. In Friday's game, he hit a game-winning three-run home run to give the Aggies a 5-4 win.
On Saturday, Botello hit another game-winning home run, this one a solo shot, to give NM State a series-clinching 4-3 victory.
