TUCSON, Ariz. – The New Mexico State men's tennis finished off the Wildcat Invitational on Sunday with six victories, including the Navy singles draw championship by Mauri Benitez.
Doubles action kicked things off Sunday as Luis Flores and Louis Menard defeated Northern Arizona's Chris Steele and Sebastian Eguez 6-3 in the consolation finals. Stijn de Haan and Benitez couldn't complete the Sunday sweep in the Cardinal doubles draw, falling to Grand Canyon's Lorenzo Fucile and Mathieu Rajaonah 6-4.
Sergi Espias gave NM State its second consolation finals win in the Cardinal singles draw in a come-from-behind victory 3-6, 6-0, 10-5.
