DENVER – New Mexico State volleyball's Tatyana Battle was named the Western Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. This is her first WAC Player of the Week honor this season and the second of her career.
Battle led NM State to a 2-0 record with straight-set wins over Utah Valley and Seattle U while helping the Aggies keep sole possession of first place in the WAC standings. She averaged 4.17 digs, 4.00 kills, 0.83 blocks and 0.50 service aces per set. The outside hitter also posted back-to-back double-doubles in the victories.
