Bats Come Alive for NM State in 10-2 Romp Over 24th-Ranked Sacramento State

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - So much for the myth that the NM State baseball team's offense doesn't show up on the road.

Brandon Dieter led the charge in the batters box by driving in four runs, five Aggies finished with multiple hits, freshman left-hander Sammy Natera fanned seven batters in 4 1/3 innings and NM State put an end to a seven-game losing skid by hammering 24th-ranked Sacramento State 10-2 Friday night at John Smith Field.

It marked the worst WAC loss by the Hornets since April 27, 2019. On that date, the Aggies outslugged Sacramento State 12-4 and Friday night's setback was Sacramento State's first loss as a ranked team.
