LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico state diver Italia Aranzabal was named Diver of the Week by the Western Athletic Conference after a dominant performance against WAC rival Northern Colorado.
"Italia was very impressive this weekend, said diving coach Miranda King. "She competed in her first collegiate meet and controlled her nerves well. We are working on small, specific things each practice, and she didn't let the meet take those away. She took everything we are working on, focused on those, and had some results on both boards that I am incredibly proud of.
