LAS CRUCES – Winter Storm Goliath has prevented the New Mexico State Aggies from traveling to Wichita, Kan., and forced a delay in Monday night’s scheduled game at Wichita State.
The teams hope to play Tuesday. Game time is still pending, based on NMSU’s travel arrangements and the Shocker women’s 7 p.m. tip against Oklahoma Christian.
“We are doing everything within our power to be able to get to Wichita,” said Aggies head coach Marvin Menzies. “But Mother Nature hasn’t been very cooperative so far. We appreciate Wichita State’s understanding of the situation.”
The Aggies, who were scheduled to travel via commercial flights very early Sunday morning, experienced a series of flight cancellations due to the weather that prevented them from either leaving the El Paso airport or being able to arrive at Wichita.
