DENVER – The New Mexico State women's golf team was selected to win the 2017 Western Athletic Conference title. In a vote by the league's head coaches, which no one could vote for their own team, the Aggies were unanimously chosen to win their fourth consecutive WAC women's golf championship.
NM State won the 2016 title by 16 strokes and Kennedie Montoya captured the individual title and the team took home the 2015 championship by 34 strokes. The Aggies received all six possible first-place votes for 36 points. Seattle U finished second with 30 points, followed by UMKC in third with 26 points.
