CATHEDRAL CITY, CALIF. – The New Mexico State softball team fell to San Diego State on Sunday to close the Aggies run at the Marry Nutter Classic. The Aggies fell 10-2 in five innings for their eighth straight loss.
The Aggies fell behind early as the team allowed four runs in the second inning and five runs in the fourth inning to give the Aztecs the 9-0 lead.
In the bottom of the fourth, Kelsey Horton kept her hitting streak alive as she doubled to left center field. Merina Ili doubled to advance Horton to third as Kennedy Johnson came to the plate.
