TUCSON, Ariz. – The New Mexico State volleyball team rode a dominant offensive performance to a straight-set win over Marist, 25-16, 25-16, 25-13, in its final match at the Cactus Classic in Tucson, Ariz., on Saturday afternoon. The Aggies hit .425 on the day to finish the Cactus classic 2-1.
"I thought we were pretty efficient today," said head coach Mike Jordan. "Obviously Marist doesn't have the same kind of talent as Arizona and we were able to play at the pace we wanted but we had some pretty good production, I thought Alana Embry set her best match of the weekend, hopefully some of the younger players built up some confidence.
