THE OPENING TIP
• After pulling off a much needed home win versus their old WAC foe California Baptist, the Aggies look to forward to the Battle of I-10 against UTEP Thursday night.
• The Aggies won 66-61 to California Baptist on Saturday after controling the lead majority of the game. With the win, Hooten's group goes to 6-1 at home this year and break a three-game losing streak to build momentum going into the contest Thursday night.
• NM State will collide with their out-of-state rivals, the Miners who are currently coming off a home loss versus Seattle U 61-73 on Saturday.
