Aggies Take Game One Against Northern Colorado 10-6

GREELEY, Colo. – A four-run eighth inning lifted New Mexico State (31-20, 19-6) over Northern Colorado (15-31, 10-11) 10-6 on Thursday. The Aggies four triples in the game tied a single-game school record set against C.W. Post in 1990 and against Chicago State in 2005.

Northern Colorado got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning. Two walks and a hit-by-pitch loaded the bases with two outs. The third wild pitch of the inning scored the game's first run, putting the Bears up 1-0.

The Aggies answered in the second as Dan Hetzel led off with a single through the left side.
