DENVER – New Mexico State softball's Mya Felder and Samaria Diaz were named the Western Athletic Conference Hitter and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, the league announced on Monday. This is Felder's first ever honor and the second honor of the season and career for Diaz.
Felder hit .571 with a 1.571 slugging percentage and a .625 on-base percentage in five games last week. She was 8-of-14 on the week with six extra-base hits, two doubles and four home runs. The freshman scored six runs and had nine RBIs when the Aggies posted a 4-1 record.
