LAS VEGAS – New Mexico State volleyball open the 2016 season with a bang sweeping Albany in straight sets. The Aggies took the decision 25-22, 25-12, 25-13.
"First I'm really proud of the team," said head coach Mike Jordan. "This is a great Albany team. They are fairly physical, play great defense and forced a lot of long rallies. The first match of the season is always a crapshoot, you don't know what you are going to get. We were jittery and made some uncharacteristic errors, but that's going to happen in the first set.
