PHOENIX – New Mexico State (13-4, 4-0 WAC) came away with a 26-24, 25-20, 25-21 sweep of Grand Canyon (4-11, 0-3 WAC) to close out their first Western Athletic Conference road trip of the season on Saturday.
"You have to give GCU a lot of credit for competing well," said head coach Mike Jordan. "I thought we got outplayed in some areas. Offensively, we finally stopped being so error-prone, and our blocking got better as the match went on. I think that was the difference in the match. We did what we were supposed to do.
