LAS VEGAS – NM State opened up its stay in Las Vegas on Friday morning as they took on host UNLV at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The Runnin' Rebels defeated the Aggies 7-0 in NM State's first road match since Jan. 19.
DOUBLES
- Anna Pinaieva and Lisa Zhu put up the Aggies' toughest fight as they worked their way to a 5-4 lead before the doubles point was clinched by a pair of UNLV wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
SINGLES
- Lisa Zhu started off her match versus UNLV's Zita Kovacs with a 6-1 win, however, Kovacs was able to battle back to take the second set 6-4.
