LAS CRUCES, N.M. - goal in the 50th minute was the deciding factor as NM State (4-9-1) defeated Dixie State (2-8-2) 1-0 on senior day Saturday afternoon at the NM State Soccer Athletic Complex.
The teams were scoreless through the first 45 minutes thanks to a solid defensive effort by the Aggies. NM State allowed just three shot on goals in 90 minutes. Much like Thursday's matchup, Leitner provided a spark for the Aggies coming out of halftime. Leitner was able to break away down the middle of the field and sent a shot that ricocheted off of the goalie into the net to break the tie.
