SAN DIEGO – The New Mexico State women's track and field took on top competition at the Triton Invitational on Saturday. The Aggies continued to show improvements as they closed their run at the Triton Track and Field Stadium.
Katara Nelson placed first in the 400m as the senior clocked in at 52.53. Lashira Tremble recorded a new personal best in the 100m dash when the sophomore posted a time of 11.85. Tanisha Scott clocked in at 24.29 to take second in the 200m dash.
In the 100m hurdles, Arniesha Mitchell recorded a time of 14.
