DENVER – The New Mexico State women's golf team was selected to win the 2018 Western Athletic Conference title. In a vote by the league's head coaches, who could not vote for their own team, the Aggies received six of eight first-place votes as favorites to win their fifth consecutive conference championship.
Grand Canyon picked up the remaining two first-place votes and second place with 41 points. Seattle U edged out Utah Valley by a point for third place with 34 points. Kansas City was picked fifth with 27 points, followed by UT Rio Grande Valley (19), CSU Bakersfield (15) and Chicago State (7).
