LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The New Mexico State Aggies used a powerful 1-2 combination of junior Ian Baker and sophomore Pascal Siakam to go with a strong defensive performance to roll past Missouri-Kansas City 78-64 in the semifinals of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament at the Orleans Arena.
The Aggies (23-9), the back-to-back WAC Champion and winners of four straight WAC Tournaments, advance to the championship game. UMKC ends the season at 12-18.
Baker led the Aggies with 20 points, while Siakam scored 18 points with 11 rebounds to chalk up his 26th double-double of the season.
