MESA, Ariz. – The New Mexico State baseball team racked up the honors on Tuesday at the Western Athletic Conference Awards Banquet, part of the WAC Baseball Tournament.
Junior was named WAC Player of the Year by the league's 10 head coaches. A native of Vallejo, Calif., Johnson finished the regular season leading the conference in batting average in the league play(.416), as well as leading the conference in hits (85), runs scored (62), home runs (12), stolen bases (27-for-31), slugging percentage (.642) and total bases (145).
The Aggies had two players named First Team All-WAC.
