LAWRENCE, Kan. – NM State track and field put together a strong showing in their first day competing in the Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The Aggies had seven athletes finish in the top eight in the field event finals and had eight athletes move on to the finals in the track events schedule for tomorrow.
"Overall, we are pleased with our performances in today's events," said assistant coach . "While we had some let downs in some events today, we also had some surprises. We are proud of our athletes that scored in today's finals and are pleased that we will have several athletes in tomorrow's track event finals.
