LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State track and field will travel to Lawrence, Kan. this weekend to compete in the Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. NM State will be competing in events on Friday and Saturday.
"We have worked all season for this meet," said assistant coach . "Our athletes are well positioned, as far as where they are ranked in the conference, going into the meet. We just need to go in there and performed at the level we know we can, and have a good meet."
In the pre-championship poll, voted on by the coaches in the conference, NM State was picked to finish fourth in the conference with 26 points.
