OMAHA, NEB. – New Mexico State softball defeated Omaha 14-6 in six innings on Tuesday. The Aggies hit three home runs in the game, two by Kaitlyn Rubio and one by Nikki Butler.
How it happened
The Aggies got off to a hot start in the first. Singles by Rachel Rodriguez and Caity Szczesny started the inning as Kelsey Horton came to the plate. The sophomore drove Rodriguez home to give NM State the 1-0 advantage. Fahren Glackin followed with single of her own to score the second run of the inning.
