IRVINE, CALIF. - New Mexico State track and field performed well at the Steve Scott Invitational on Friday. Kayli Farmer set a new personal record in the javelin which ranks second all-time at NM State.
"Kayli Farmer's first place finish in the javelin was the highlight of the day," interim co-head coach Larry Carmichael said. "Not only did she improve her seasonal record, she threw an all-time personal best."
Farmer won the javelin when she threw 47.94m (157-3.25). Alyssa Covarrubia also competed in the event, finishing in ninth with a mark of 37.
