HOBBS, N.M. – The New Mexico State track and field team performed well at the Ross Black Open, hosted by New Mexico Junior College, this weekend. The Aggies won four events in the meet and placed in the top three in nine events.
"Overall, we were very pleased with our performances this weekend," said assistant coach Larry Carmichael. "We felt that it was very important for us to compete this week, since we unexpectedly had last week off. We had most of our athletes either improve or maintain their performances this weekend."
In the Hammer Throw, junior Akuadasuo Ezenyilimba won the event with a mark of 50.
