BOULDER, Colo. — The Aggies found the back of the net late but couldn't overcome an early deficit, falling 4-1 to Colorado on Thursday night at Prentup Field. NM State (1-4-0) notched their third goal of the season when freshman forward scored her first career goal in the 89th minute.
Colorado (4-0-1) built a 3-0 lead in the opening half before O'Neill converted off an assist from to put NM State on the board. The Buffaloes added a penalty kick less than a minute later to seal the result. Despite the setback, the Aggies generated 12 shots, including six on goal, and earned five corner kicks while goalkeeper collected six saves to keep NM State within striking distance.
