BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – New Mexico State volleyball took on UMKC in the Western Athletic Tournament semifinals at the Icardo Center on Friday night. The Aggies defeated the Roos 15-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-15 to advance to the championship match.
"We recovered well from the nervous start," head coach Mike Jordan said. "I thought our rights did a really good job. We have to be committed to setting them more and we did that today. It took some pressure off our outside hitters. We won the serve and pass game as the match went on. We weren't great but we settled down enough and had a good balance.
