LAWRENCE, Kan. – NM State track and field finished fourth at the Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday. Four Aggies won conference championships in their respective events.
"Overall we are pretty pleased with how the meet went," said assistant coach . "We had several athletes step up big time. We are really proud of Katara and Kimberly for winning their respective awards."
Junior , the Arlington, Texas product, won the WAC High Point Award, scoring 21.50 points in the meet. , a native of Las Cruces, N.M., was named WAC Freshman of the Year by the league's coaches.
