WACO, Texas – The No. 10 seeded New Mexico State equestrian team faced off with No. 7 Fresno State in the first round of the NCEA Championships on Thursday. The Aggies season came to an end in Texas with a 10-5 loss to the Bulldogs.
In the opening events, NM State fell 3-0 in reining. After the sweep, the team battled back for a 2-2 tie in equitation over fences. Karianna Knezevich earned 162 points and Madison Brayman added 167 for the team's first two points.
The Aggies then put up another 2-2 tie in equitation on the flat.
