LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After the opening set, New Mexico State (20-6, 10-1 WAC) could not find a rhythm or clean up the errors as they fell to CSU Bakersfield (10-13, 7-3 WAC) 25-14, 18-25, 18-25, 25-19 in their home finale. The loss snapped a streak of 24-straight Western Athletic Conference wins for NM State. However, the Aggies still hold a two-game lead in the WAC with three matches left in the regular season.
NM State was paced by sophomore Tatyana Battle who set a new career high serving up five aces to go along with her 11 kills, 12 digs and three blocks.
