TUCSON, Ariz. – The New Mexico State baseball team fell to Arizona 11-8 on Tuesday at Hi Corbett Field. The lone bright spot was Daniel Johnson, who went four-for-five at the plate with two RBI and was just a double shy of the cycle.
The Wildcats jumped out to an early lead, scoring four runs in the first inning. The first run came on a single to center, scoring a run from third. The other three runs came on a three-run blast to left center, Bobby Dalbec's first homer of the game. The Wildcats added three more runs over the next two innings.
