LAS CRUCES, N.M. – A huge second-half surge coupled with great performances from veteran players powered the New Mexico State men's basketball team past East Central Oklahoma in its season and home-opener Friday night inside the Pan American Center.
With the win, the Aggies are 68-42-1 when playing in season-openers and 55-18-1 when both their season and home-openers were on the same night. NM State is also 82-27-1 all-time in home-openers now after the win on Friday night.
"I think the best part about the first half was the fact that we didn't shoot the ball very well," Aggie head coach Chris Jans said.
