EDINBURG, TEXAS - New Mexico State track and field competed at the 2017 Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday.
Stephanie Quintero and Nicole Gomez competed in the 10,000m for the first time this season. Quintero finished in ninth with a time of 39:45.67 and Gomez clocked in at 41:43.81 to take 12th place.
Field events begin on Friday with the men's hammer throw at 10 a.m. (MT). The first field event for NM State is the javelin throw at 1 p.m. Follow along with the meet on the WAC Championship Central page.
