SEATTLE, Wash. - The NM State softball team was unable to come back from a four-run deficit against Utah Valley Thursday afternoon at the WAC Tournament in Seattle, Wash. This is the first time the Aggies have dropped its opening game in the WAC Tournament since 2014 when they also lost to Utah Valley in Seattle.
The Wolverines struck first in the third inning on a sacrifice fly, but Matalasi Faapito kept the Wolverines lead at one. The Aggie bats began to heat up in the bottom of third inning with three singles on three straight pitches to tie the game.
