LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After being down 5-1 after the first inning, New Mexico State (25-20, 13-6) fought all the way back, but ultimately came up short 10-9 against Seattle U (29-16, 16-3) in a 10-inning thriller on Friday.
Seattle U came out white hot to start the game, leading off with a single to center field. Two back-to-back base hits led to both runs scoring on a single to left field. A double to left center scored another run. A single down the left field line scored the fourth and fifth runs of the inning for the Redhawks.
