FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The reigning Western Athletic Conference champions are adding more hardware to their trophy case.
The Aggies won the team title at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic Tuesday, finishing in first place with an overall score of 26-over-par 890. NM State finished ahead of host Colorado State (895, +31) and third-place San Francisco (897, +33).
NM State sat alone in first place through 36 holes of play, firing an overall team score of 13-over-par 589 across yesterday's first and second rounds. The Aggies never lost their grip on the lead in the final round, holding off surges from both Colorado State and San Francisco to claim the title.
