TULSA, Okla. – Champions, again. After winning the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate last week, the NM State men's golf team stayed hot with a co-championship at The Clerico in Tulsa. South Alabama was eventually named champions of the event after tiebreakers were determined.
With back-to-back championships, the Aggies concluded the fall season on as high of a note as possible. The Aggies struggled on Tuesday, shooting 20-strokes worse than the 280 the team fired on Monday. Nonetheless, NM State never fell out of first place. Garrison Smith posted NM State's best individual score with a 141 (-1), giving him a sixth place finish.
