CHICAGO – Solid night at the free-throw line and 20-points from Tamera William saw New Mexico State clip Chicago State on the road, 70-60, and move to 4-0 in Western Athletic Conference play on Saturday at the Jones Convocation Center.
William was huge for the Aggies in the final five minutes of play, going 8-for-8 from the charity stripe. The 20-points tied the junior’s career-high, which she set back in December against Arizona (Dec. 2, 2015).
“Tamera was key for us today against an aggressive Chicago State team,” head coach Mark Trakh said. “Experience really played a big role down the stretch for her [William], knocking down eight free-throws with the game on the line.
