ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico State women’s basketball seniors Shanice Davis, Abby Scott and Sasha Weber say they are proud of the team’s accomplishments, but are more proud of the foundation they’ve built for the program.
The three will play their final regular-season game at the Pan Am Center Saturday as the Aggies (24-3, 13-0) host UT Rio Grande Valley (16-12, 8-5) at 2 p.m.
With a second-consecutive 20-win season, regular-season title, a sweep of rival New Mexico and the top seed for next week’s Western Athletic Conference tournament already accomplished, the seniors are nonetheless playing for history.
