LAS CRUCES – New Mexico State has probably its biggest road trip remaining in Western Athletic Conference play this week.
The Aggies (11-8, 3-1 WAC) are at Seattle today and at Cal State Bakersfield (13-5, 3-0) on Saturday. The Aggies’ lone WAC loss last season was at Seattle (7-10, 1-2).
“Both tough places to play,” NMSU coach Marvin Menzies said. “We’ve had really close games at Bakersfield and a loss in recent years at Seattle. I don’t think the guys will take the trip lightly at all. I think they understand what is at stake.”
While today is a rematch of last season’s WAC tournament championship game, the Redhawks have struggled.
