Aggie men romp into another WAC final

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Calling any win a great team win is one of the trite expressions in sports.

That written, New Mexico State got some traction in its 78-64 win over Missouri-Kansas City Friday night with superstar Pascal Siakam on the bench for large stretches with foul trouble.

In winning its way into tonight’s Western Athletic Conference tournament final, the Aggies got major contributions from guard Ian Baker, who scored a team-high 20 points, and others as Siakam played only 27 minutes. He had four fouls, but also his typical double-double (18 points, 11 rebounds.

“I t just shows how far we’ve come,” said Baker, a 6-foot junior.
