EDINBURG, TEXAS - New Mexico State track and field competed at the 2017 Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday. NM State sits in fifth place heading into the final day of competition.
"We had a solid team effort across both finals and qualifying events," interim co-head coach Larry Carmichael said. "Kayli Farmer and LaShya Cole led the charge with a Conference Championship and an All-Conference First Team, respectively."
On the field, Kayli Farmer gave the Aggies their first points of the meet when she won gold in the javelin throw with a mark of 45.
