How It Happened
After Renteria retired the first nine batters to start the game, drew first blood for the Aggies when he hit a sac-fly to right field and gave the Aggies a 1-0 lead. The Hornets answered right back in their half of the frame when Sacramento State scored on a sac-fly of its own.
From there, it was a pitcher's duel between Renteria and Sacramento State's starting pitcher and pitching staff through nine innings of action.
