DENVER – NM State softball's Emma Adams and Karysta Donisthorpe were named the Western Athletic Conference's Hitter of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, after leading the team to a 5-0 start to the 2016 season. Adams has been named Hitter of the Week once before, while Donisthorpe has earned the honor of Pitcher of the Week five times.
"I am very proud of the total team effort opening week," said head coach Kathy Rodolph. "When you hit over .480 as a team on the weekend, you have a lot of options for hitter of the week.
