EUGENE, Ore. — The weather might not have been very warm, but one Lobo was on fire Thursday.
University of New Mexico track & field athlete Alice Wright captured the Lobos' first All-American honor of the weekend as she took runner-up honors in the women's 10,000-meter run on the second day of the 2016 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Additionally, Courtney Frerichs (3000-meter steeplechase) and Sophie Connor (1500) both advanced to the finals of their respective races as the Lobos opened the first day of the women's championship at Hayward Field.
